Sometimes, the story is played out in the sampler in the symbolism,
or other times, the solution to the mystery can be found
in the sampler itself!

Description of the story: When the idea of a
commemorative sampler to celebrate Traditional Stitches' 10th
anniversary was presented everyone was excited to
participate. Ten members names of the Traditional Stitches'
stitching group were selected from a hat
and each person was assigned a color. These women were
then given the challenge to use a motif from one of the
antique samplers from the group's earlier exhibit to fill
their portion of the sampler. This led to the discovery
that several of the antique samplers that the group had
borrowed for their display were now missing. The members
looked at each other suspiciously. Which one of
them was guilty?

Smyrna Cross, Montenegrin Stitch, Tent Stitch and Eyelet.
