The Examplarery tells us: "Sarah Rogers, who was born October 18, 1735 and died on July 24, 1811, was the daughter of Captain James Rogers and Charity Brayton. She married a tailor form Boston, Timothy Balch. The family moved to Providence in 1776 where Timothy died, leaving Sarah a widow with children to support.
