Our Stitch A Long will be led by local sampler stitcher extraordinaire - Rose Heck. Our Facebook group will be open to all stitchers...we invite you to pop in, say "Hello" and introduce yourself to the group. We aim to keep it a fun and encouraging group.
Rose has laid out a very achievable 12 month stitching plan for our Ann Morison sampler but you are welcome to stitch at your own pace.
Please read to the bottom of this section for specific information about shipping timeframes and costs.
Please note that all of our prices are in Canadian funds.
Nicola tells us: "Ann’s sampler has been reproduced using 45 count Legacy Linen in Jersey Cream with a palette of thirteen colours of Soie 100.3 from Au Ver à Soie. We have provided conversions for Soie d’Alger and DMC."
"This delightful sampler has been mainly executed with cross stitch over two threads, Algerian eyelet stitch and double running stitch. Ann’s sampler has been rated as suitable for needleworkers of all abilities and can be executed on Aida, Linaida or linen."
"The design area is 164 stitches (w) x 238 stitches (h). Our calculations have included a 3" margin for finishing

Please choose your supplies from the drop-down menus above. Here are our recommended thread and fabric combinations.
DMC cotton floss can be used with fabric in your choice of counts. Whether you use 1 strand or 2 is a matter of personal preference although we generally say 2 strands on 32 count or larger and 1 strand on 35 count or finer.
Soie d'Alger will look beautiful on 37 count Legacy Linen using one strand of silk. If you like dense coverage, you could also use Soie d'Alger on the 45 count Legacy Linen. If you would prefer to work on the 30 count Legacy Linen, you may want to experiment with whether you prefer 2 strands or if 1 strand gives you coverage that you like.
100/3 will be a gorgeous choice on 45 count Legacy Linen - this is the combination that both Rose and I will be using. You could also use the 100/3 on the 37 count Legacy Linen.
Please feel free to email us or to call if you would like to order a fabric that we haven't listed above.
SOLD OUT: Our wonderful friend Cathe Ray of Needle in a Haystack in Alameda California has designed Traditional Stitches Exclusive 20th Anniversary acrylic rulers that feature Ann Morison's strawberry band. These are Limited Edition!
