Needlework Expo 2021 release.
Liz tells us "Single butterflies were stitched and placed under antique glass paper weights for a unique, specimen-like finish. The paperweights originally had postcards glued underneath which were easily removed after soaking the weights in soapy water. The stitched butterflies were backed with black felt and glued under the paperweight."
Model was stitched on 40 count Bramble hand dyed linen from Picture This Plus and stitched using one strand of Needlepoint Silk Inc thread over two threads of linen.
This piece was worked using cross stitches and back stitches for the antennae and cocoon accents.
Please check the boxes above to add the chart, linen and threads to your order.
