Clearance Sale ~ 40% Off!

Traditional Stitches is closing so we need to find new homes for ALL of our inventory!

Hours: we are currently open the following hours for in-store shopping:
Thursdays 10am to 5pm
Fridays 10am to 5pm
Saturdays 10am to 3pm

Please note that we are closed for staff lunches noon to 1 each day.

Other times may be available by appointment. Please call or email for more information.

A sale is always a lot of fun but having guidelines in place is helpful to everyone.

No coupon code is required – the 40% discount will be applied to all orders that we receive. We will manually process the discount on the day that we ship your order.

Please read the following Sale Details for your best possible experience with our sale. When you complete your order through our web site, you will be required to check a box that says you agree to the terms and conditions of our sale which are as follows:

Ordering Methods:

  • In Store: during our regular business hours.

  • Web Site: On-line orders placed through our web site is always the preferred method. Orders placed through our web site help us to better manage our inventory and are more straightforward for both our customers and our staff.

  • Email: itemized lists only. Firm orders only (no stock inquiries). Even if you have ordered from us recently, it will help a great deal if you include your full name, phone number, mailing address and tell us what payment method you prefer.

If you are ordering a fabric by email, we need the brand, count, color name, and cut size before we can enter your order into our system so please be sure to include all of those pieces of information in your first email.

Please expect about 1 weeks from the time you place your order until you receive a shipping notification from us.

What is included in the Sale:

• EVERYTHING in the store is 40% off
• Items in our Sale/Clearance section – an additional 40% off the already marked down price
• Items in our Pre-Cut fabrics section - an additional 40% off the already marked down price

You are welcome to send us an email saying “I would like to order one skein of each in stock color of, for example, Rainbow Gallery Splendor or Appleton’s Crewel Wool” and will be happy to do so at 40% off.

Other Details:

  • The sale applies to new orders only.

  • Orders will be filled in the order that we receive them.

Please note that all sales are final. No returns or exchanges.

For in-store shopping, the smallest fabric size that we will be able to cut is a wide quarter (generally 18” x 27”) unless the cut is already a wide eighth. As we work through our web site, we will be removing wide eighths as an ordering option in an effort to process sale orders more efficiently.

You are welcome to place more than one order. We will do our best to combine them for you but we aren’t able to guarantee that in all cases.

Our web site does NOT show real time inventory. We are working very hard to keep it as accurate as possible but with in-store shoppers and web site and email orders, it won’t be perfect. You may want to pad your order a bit in case some items are sold out. The part of our web site where this will be most challenging is on the pages where you check the boxes to add the called for linen and threads to chart. We may or may not have the linen and we may or may not have all of the threads. We will kit them for you as completely as we can.

Once we have pulled your order together we will either ship it if complete or if any items are missing, we will send you an email to advise you of those items. Please expect about a week for an email with your order update.

We aren’t able to offer substitutions for fabrics or threads during the first few weeks of our sale. Our stock of fabrics is already quite low so we don’t have a lot of choices to offer.

Once we’ve emailed you with a status update, you can always place another order through our web site for your choice of substitutions.

You do not need a discount code. The sale will be automatically applied to ALL orders that we receive during the sale.

Because you are not entering a discount code, your shopping cart will not show your sale total.

Postage and any applicable tariffs will not be discounted.

While we collect your payment information at the time that you place your order, we do not charge you in real time. Payment will be taken after we have manually processed your order and applied the proper shipping to your total. With this system you do not need to worry that you will be charged for items that you do not receive.

We have not chosen a firm end date for this sale…it depends on how quickly our stock clears out.

Shop Closing: Traditional Stitches will close on or by June 30th at the latest...if our stock lasts that long. If a point comes where it isn't feasible to have our doors open, we will close before June 30th. We will be sure to give you some notice if that happens.

Starting the week of May 4th, we will be open Thursdays 10am to 5pm, Fridays 10am to 5pm and Saturdays 10am to 3pm ONLY.

We are now closed Sunday to Wednesday each week.

Shopping by appoint might be arranged by calling or emailing the shop.
