After almost 26 years at the helm of Traditional Stitches, I am ready to take on a change. I hear that there is a thing out there called “day stitching”…I’d like to give that a try!

Traditional Stitches will be closing but we are going to take our time to do it in the best possible way. We are currently running business as usual and so your orders are very welcome...please keep them coming!

I am still open to the possibility of finding a buyer for our shop but we need to move forward with the process of winding things down.

The current plan is:

• we've got lots of orders that we are working on...we are further behind than I would like but we are working hard to catch up.
• there is a very steady stream of customers visiting our shop to stash up while they can.
• we've got some large orders from suppliers that will arrive to us in the next week or two that will help us fill lots of customer back orders and fill our pegs.
• we need to be in touch with customers about older orders, substitutions, automatic programs, Collector Programs etc. so we've got a bunch of admin tasks to do
• we are working towards having our web site more accurately show stock on hand

So the bottom line is that we aren't closing our doors or turning away orders anytime within the next few months! We've got a lot of stock on hand that still needs to find its way to "forever homes".

We will keep everyone posted on our plans in our newsletter and on our web site so please check back often.

One thing I can tell you is that by May 1st, we will be moving to a Shopping by Appointment Only format for in-person shopping as we gradually reduce our hours.
