All we know about the stitcher of this exquis-ite piece is her name and the year she stitched it. This antique sampler is stitched on 26 count linen and is 22.5” wide by 23” high. Susan used wool thread for her stitching. The verse is over one and stitched with a silk thread.
Stitch count is 284 x 286.
We suggest stitching on 40 count Paperbark hand dyed linen from Fox & Rabbit and stitching with Needlepoint Inc. silks, hand dyed cotton floss from Classic Colorworks OR DMC cotton floss.
