A reproduction of a English sampler.

Cissy tells us "Mary Otter was 11 years old in 1792 but that is the only clue she gave me. Without bread crumbs like a well known building, or hometown, birth month, family initials, school or teacher's name it was impossible to know which of the Mary Otters born in England in 1781-1782 created this lovely English countryside scene."

The sampler design measures 13.72" W x 18.3" H when stitched on 36 count linen.
