Pineberry Lane tells us: "Winifred Glarke dedicated three rows of her charming little sampler to letters of the alphabet. She filled the rest with floral motifs, fruit baskets, crowns, a bird and other folky designs. Her name, age, and the year 1892 complete her handiwork. The original sampler, was worked in wool threads."

The model was stitched on 32 count hand dyed Vintage Pear linen from Lakeside Linens using a combination of cotton and hand dyed cotton floss.
