Ann Jordan 1841 ~ Reproduction Sampler from Queenstown Sampler Designs

This design was released at the Nashville Needlework Market in March 2017.

Barbara tells us: "Ann Jordan was from Baltimore, Maryland. We characterize this sampler as a Baltimore architectural “eyeglass gate” sampler. There are many documented samplers with this gate and brickwork dating from 1810 to 1841. Ann’s sister Elizabeth worked a comparable sampler with a brick house and trees similar to other known samplers in this group. Ann’s gazebo is new to the group."

The stitch count is 274h x 290w. Stitches include Cross over two linen threads, Couched Straight, and Rice.

The model was stitched on 32 count hand dyed Examplar linen from Lakeside Linens using DMC floss. Please check the boxes above to add these items to your order.
