1791 Quaker Sampler Reproduction/Adaptation from Cherished Stitches ~ Nashville 2018

Louise tells us: "I believe at one time this sampler was in the Deerfield collection.  The only information available is from the notes attached to the back of the sampler.  It was found in Western Pennsylvania, in the Greenburg area.  Although the maker is unknown, her initials are probably MA, as they are found a couple of times on the sampler.

According to the note on the back, it was dated 1791.  So much of the black threads had disintegrated, that I could only go by the notes.  I charted it with 1791, using the remaining threads as a guide.

This is a small sampler measuring only 9x5-1/4 when stitched on 32 ct linen.

The model was stitched on 32 count Mocha hand dyed linen from Weeks Dye Works using Needlepoint Inc Silk thread.  Please check the boxes above to have these items added to your order.
