Brenda tells us: "A piece of heavily damaged cross stitch was the starting point for an original sampler, Every Opening Flower. The piece of deteriorating needlework was too beautiful to be lost and forgotten, so the large urn filled with flowers became one of the main focal pieces of this sampler. Then I filled in with motifs inspired by Quaker motifs, original motifs, and an alphabet sprinkled in. The bee skep in the surrounding wreath or the bird on the branch motifs would make lovely small companion pieces to the sampler. I can see small needlebooks or pincushions using those motifs."
