Louise tells us "This is a Scottish sampler with lots of lovely reds and greens, and some beautiful blues. Along with the familiar color scheme , this sampler has the tree motif, peacocks, and many sets of family initials seen on so many Scottish samplers. There is also, a wee little man, dressed in red (maybe Prince Charlie), flowers and birds and for animal lovers what appears to be a purple and a red dog, and a rabbit. Stitches are all Cross stitches over 1 and 2, and eyelets. ."

Model was stitched on 30 count Cocoa linen from Weeks Dye Works and stitched with silks from Needlepoint Inc.
