Angel tells us "Historically, a pocket referred to a pouch worn around the waist by women in the 17th to 19th centuries. In these pockets, women would carry items needed in their daily lives, such as scissors, pins and needles, and keys. This sampler was inspired by an antique."
Stitch count is 58 w x 115 h. Pattern includes cross-stitch, baack-stitch and smyrna cross.
The model was stitched on 36 ct Stone Grey Edinburgh Linen and stitched with silk threads from Soie d'alger.
