tells us "Emily Ann Greenaway is a truly beautiful sampler with a decorative multi-coloured border which encloses some very sweet animals and motifs. The colour palette has been taken from the front of the sampler as these have mellowed into lovely soft colours. Emily's sampler, stitched when she was 20 years old, dates from 1884.
Stitch count is 184 W x 144 H.
Model was stitched on a hand dyed linen which is not available to us. We suggest stitching on Vintage Light Examplar from Lakeside Linens. Emily’s sweet colourful sampler has been reproduced with a palette of 18 colours from Au Ver à Soie’s range of Soie 100.3. Conversions for Soie d’Alger and DMC are included in the chart. You will only need one spool or skein of each colour.
