Eliza Nisbet 1839 Printed Booklet from Hands Across the Sea Samplers

Nicola tells us that: "We can never resist a traditional Scottish sampler, particularly one worked by a school girl in red and green! Eliza tells us that she finished her sampler in Edinburgh on January 23, 1829, which was a Wednesday. What a special day it must have been for the young girl. You can almost feel her excitement and pride when the last stitch was laid."

    Stitch count 117 W x 221 H.

We are suggesting stitching on 40 count Straw hand dyed Newcastle linen from Weeks Dye Works and stitching with silks from Soie d'Alger or Soie 100/3.

This new format coil-bound booklet includes colour pages and detailed descriptions similar to their standard chart formats.

A DMC conversion is also provided.

Please check the boxes above to have these items added to your order.
