This sampler is brought to you as part of a series of “Little Gems” that are available only as a .pdf download by Hands Across the Sea Samplers.
We are delighted to present to you an original design by Sandra and Nicola. Both of us derive much pleasure from our gardens and share a love of flowers.
In our garden many flowers bloom,
Roses, tulips, forget-me-nots
And many others too.
The project is stitched with cross stitch over 2 strands of linen and has been rated as suitable for needle workers of all levels of ability and can be stitched either on Aida, Linaida, or linen.
The pdf download includes the following graphs:
Graph 1 ~ A pdf with a four-page colour chart.
Graph 2 ~ A pdf with a one-page colour chart for the main design (intended to be viewed/used on your tablet, phone, laptop, or computer).
Graph 3 ~ A pdf with a four-page black and white chart.
Graph 4 ~ A pdf with a one-page black and white chart for the main design (intended to be viewed/used on your tablet, phone, laptop, or computer).
** Please note that the pdf does not include finishing instructions for a drum. The design is suitable for intermediate and advanced needleworkers but is not beyond a determined beginner. The stitches used are cross stitch over 1 and 2 threads and satin stitch.
Stitch count is 187 W x 85 H.
In Our Garden has been stitched with DMC threads from a palette of nine colours. We have provided conversions for Soie 100.3 and Soie d’Alger from Au Ver à Soie. Only one spool or skein of each colour is required with the exception of Soie d’Alger #934 when working with two threads on 32ct fabric or lower.
The model was stitched on 37ct Wild Honey from Legacy Linen. We have also suggested a few other counts in this linen as alternate choices.
Please check the boxes above to have the supplies added to your order.
