This beautiful sampler was originally released as a fundraiser in aid of the Rural Fire Services of Katoomba/Leura and Wentworth Falls. This is now being re-released as part of the Little Gem series which are only available as a PDF download.

The two graphs included in the download are:
Graph 1 ~ A four-page colour symbol graph.
Graph 2 ~ A four-page black and white symbol graph.

The sampler is stitched entirely in cross stitch over two and can be stitched on linen or Aida. Jane is suitable for needleworkers of all abilities and would make an ideal “starter” project for those wishing to explore samplers.

The model was stitched using Soie Surfine silk thread on 53/63 count Sycamore Seedpod from Access Commodities.  The chart lists either Soie Surfine, Soie d'Alger or DMC thread options.

The Soie Surfine gives good coverage with one strand on 53/63 count Sycamore Seedpod linen.

The Soie 100/3 gives good coverage with one strand on 46 count linen.

The Soie d'Alger gives good coverage with one strand on 32 count to 40 count linens.

You can adjust your number of strands of DMC floss to suit your linen count.
