Judy tells us "Last Fall, my husband and I traveled to the Canadian Maritimes and were
quite taken with Prince Edward Island. One of the highlights of the
visit was to the birthplace of Lucy Montgomery who wrote the beloved
Anne of Green Gables series of books. I have designed a sampler in
Anne's memory, which features the image of the famous Green Gables home,
the schoolhouse, and many elements which would have appeared in a
sampler of the times."
The design was stitched on a 32 count Cream Belfast linen from Zweigart and stitched with hand dyed threads.
