Melinda tells us "I am pleased to release a new reproduction sampler! She is Grace
Stewart. Although I am unable to locate Grace's genealogy, she was
undoubtedly stitched during the first quarter of the 19th century. Only
two samplers have been located with this unusual red and blue building.
Both were worked by girls born in Perth, Scotland around 1800 and are
in private collections. "
The stitch count is 204 W x 177 H and is stitched with cross over two
threads with the very small exception of the top of the thistle, which
is vertical satin stitch.
Model was stitched on 32
count Cappuccino hand dyed linen from Weeks Dye Works and stitched with threads from The Gentle Art and DMC Cotton floss.
Please check the boxes above to add the chart, linen and threads to your order.
