Lillias Davidson ~ A Scottish Sampler from 1858 from Merry Wind Farm

    Reproduction sampler.

Merry Wind Farm tells us: "Lillias was born to James Davidson and Lillias Sinclair in Perth, Scotland on October 24, 1841. The original sampler was stitched in wool, as sampler making was beginning to transition to Berlin woolwork."

    The stitch count is 140 x 201.

This chart calls for 30 count hand dyed linen from R & R Reproductions which is no longer available so we suggest 32 count linen as a suitable choice with a similar finish. Model was stitched with hand dyed wool floss from Gentle Arts Simply Wool.
