Needlework Press tell us "We were enchanted by Ann Kirby's sampler the first time we laid eyes on it! This talented eight year old created a well-balanced but not symmetrical piece of needlework that has been well preserved through the years. Sadly we have not been able to locate her without a place stitched on the sampler, although it was purchased in England. Flosses selected were a combination of the colours on the front and the back."

Stitch count is 293 W x 245 H.

Model was stitched on 40 count Hogbristle hand dyed linen from Fox & Rabbit and stitched with hand dyed silks from Belle Soie, Dinky Dyes, Soie d'Alger and Gloriana. Conversion to hand dyed cotton from Classic Colorworks is also included in the chart.
