Needlework Press tell us "While this undated and anonymous sampler is fairly straight forward - all cross stitches are over two threads of linen, except the Eagle's eyes which is over one. The motifs are directly taken from some of the earliest commercially produced pattern books, printed in the mid-19th century throughout Europe."

Stitch count is 293 W x 151 H.

Model was stitched on 40 count Old Stationery hand dyed linen from Seraphim Fabrics and stitched with Cherry Cobbler hand dyed thread from Classic Colorworks (requires 2 skeins).
