Victoria tells us "The sweet verse, unique geometric border* and garden-fresh flowers are what drew us to this late 19th century woolwork sampler. You wouldn’t believe the condition of the back of ED 1890! If ever a rat’s nest, this is it. That said, we did choose some of the floss colors based on what the back of ED 1890 revealed. The unknown needleworker stitched this sampler using wool over two threads of canvas (about 20 threads to the inch). We opted for cotton floss on 36ct linen. See measurements below if you select a different count linen.  *Except for each corner, the border is symmetrical. Follow chart carefully."

Stitch count is 116 W x 165 H.

Model was stitched on 36 count Saltbush hand dyed linen from Fox & Rabbit and stitched with hand dyed floss from Classic Colorworks.
