We do our best to recreate antique samplers that are in keeping with the original. We did take a few liberties with Mary Ann’s sometimes erratic border, but for the most part, our model (and the main chart of Mary Ann’s sampler) replicates the original, featuring the wonky house, over-one verse and swan with its mouth open. For those who prefer an over-two verse, we’ve charted part of the verse over two. The entire verse does not fit if stitched over two threads. For those who prefer a closed-mouth swan, we’ve also provided that option—although we must admit, that many of the swans we’ve seen are busy flapping their jaws or even chasing innocent victims."

Stitch count is 142 W x 193 H.

Model was stitched on 36 count Vintage Country Mocha linen from Zweigart and stitched 1 strand over 2 threads with hand dyed floss from Classic Colorworks. Full DMC Conversion is also included in the chart.
