Nashville 2024 Market release.
Victoria tells us "We love everything about this unique marking sampler! Over the years, we have seen quite a few samplers, but this is the first historic
sampler we’ve seen with alphabets arranged vertically within a horizontal composition.
Although mostly executed in blue thread, Phebe did add a few hints of color in gold and green. Stitching is pretty straight forward, except that her eyelets were over six threads.
Phebe Ann Van Wie was born May 26, 1815 in New Salem, Albany, NY, making her 10 years old when she completed her sampler in 1825."
Stitch count is 232 W x 138 H.
Model was stitched on 36 count Hogbristle hand dyed linen from Fox & Rabbit and stitched 1 strand over 2 threads with hand dyed floss from Classic Colorworks. DMC Conversion is also included in the chart.
