Sarah Barker 1824 from Pineberry Lane

Sarah’s little sampler is a joyful depiction of flora & fauna.  She used a combination of cotton, fine wool, and silk threads.  Her design is worked almost entirely in cross stitch with the exception of the satin stitches she used in the floral border.  The satin stitches can easily be worked in cross stitch if you prefer.

    Stitch count is 140 W x 159 H.

Model was stitched on 36 count Vintage Light Examplar hand dyed linen from Lakeside Linens and stitched with hand dyed threads from Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art and DMC.  Stitches include cross, straight, and French knot.  All cross stitches are worked over 2 threads of linen.
    Threads required include:
     Weeks Dye Works ~ 1111 Fawn, 1123 Cornsilk, 1223a Bees Knees, 1266 Caper,  2211 Olive,  2242 Cognac,  2258 Aztec Red,  2282 Charlotte's Pink
