Pom-Pom Girls (Carline Johnson 1839) ~ Queenstown Sampler Designs

Barbara tells us " Carline Johnson worked a delightful sampler.  A bright red berry vine surrounds fruit baskets and a pair of fair-haired children with puffy sleeve dresses.   The girls are holding carnation pinks in their hands; what look like pom-poms today.  Quite cheerful! Shade trees flank the red manor house, along with devoted puppies.  A roof top garden crowns the hall."

Stitch count is 166 H x 155 W.  Design area will measure approximately 10.38” high by 9.69" wide when stitched on suggested fabric.

Model was stitched on 32 count Antique Ivory from Zweigart and worked in cross stitch over two linen threads with 2 strands of DMC Cotton floss.
