Elizabeth Jordan 1841 ~ Reproduction Sampler from Queenstown Sampler Designs ~ Nashville 2017

This design will be released at the Nashville Needlework Market in March 2017.

Barbara tells us: "Elizabeth Jordan was from Baltimore, Maryland. Her work is characterized as a Baltimore “eyeglass gate” architectural sampler. There are many documented samplers with this gate, impressive brick house, and flanking willow trees dating from 1810 to 1841. Elizabeth’s sister Ann, worked a comparable sampler with a splendid gazebo or folly. The floral border is new to the eyeglass gate group and found on two more Baltimore samplers."

The stitch count is 265h x 293w. Stitches include Cross over one and two linen threads, Couched Straight, Rice and Stem.

The model was stitched on 32 count hand dyed Examplar linen from Lakeside Linens using DMC floss. Please check the boxes above to add these items to your order.
