An uplifting moral verse, or extract, is enclosed within a cartouche that is surrounded by distinctive Quaker motifs. Decorative fruit baskets, favourite tulips, rose bouquets and heartsease are a pleasure to see. A Queen stitched flower and strawberry flank the cartouche. Paired birds usually symbolize a "token or emblem of love" on Quaker samplers."

Model was stitched on 32 count Vintage Pecan Butter from Lakeside Linens and stitched with Needlepoint Inc. Silks.
