Riverdrift House Needleworks tells us “Based on English samplers of the early 19th century - largely symmetrical with just one or two colour variants here and there - I designed this square sampler for the modern stitcher to give a fast finished result. It includes much of the popular motif stitching of the time - a big house, peacocks and other birds, deer, bowl of fruits, hearts, plants and crowns, alphabet and numerals, all set within a delicate trailing berry border.”
Stitch count is 165 x 165.
Model was stitched on 32 count Antique White Belfast linen and stitched with DMC Cotton floss.
