The Scarlet Letter tells us "This simple and sweet, naive English Sampler has meandering floral and Greek key borders, centering a large basket of flowers and foliage. The verse and inscription read: Love the Lord and he will be a tender father unto thee. Mary Moss Work August 28th 1816."

Stitch count is 240 W x 200 H.

Model was stitched on 40 count linen and the finished size will be approximately 10" x 12.25" when stitched on the suggested fabric.

Design is stitched with Soie d'Alger silk thread.
