Peacocks in the Garden from With My Needle

Ellen tells us "This sampler is an adaptation of an undated and unsigned antique in my collection. I made minor changes to a few of the motifs, and I changed some of the thread colors. However, the spirit of this lovely sampler remains the same as the antique. I hope you’ll enjoy stitching your version as much as I enjoyed working on my model."

Model was stitched on 36-count American Chestnut hand dyed linen from R & R Reproductions and stitched with silk threads from Needlepoint, Inc. A DMC conversion is included in the chart.

    Stitch Count is 315 W x 313 H.

Stitches Used: backstitch, cross stitch, and two variations of the herringbone stitch. Backstitches are used only on the house, and, if desired, you can omit them. Also, you can substitute cross stitch or another stitch of your choice for the herringbone stitches, so the entire sampler can be done only in cross stitch if you choose.

Stitch diagrams and detailed stitching directions are provided.

Please check the boxes above to add the chart, linen and threads to your order.
