Needlework Expo 2021 release.
Brenda tells us "Hannah Ann Wallace - 1850 is a reproduction sampler. It is a smaller-in-size sampler, and I love the "petiteness" of her. I made a few adaptations when I reproduced the sampler, working with a softer color palette....same colors, just more delicate hues of the original wools. The pattern is in a booklet format, including Ancestry.com research in my attempt at locating Hannah, photos of findings, and even some hand-written Quaker Meeting notes. Such a beautiful sampler for Springtime stitching! "
Stitch count is 152 W x 138 H.
The model was stitched on 36 count Patriot's Bre hand dyed linen from R&R Reproductions and stitched using a variety of hand dyed cotton floss from Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art, Classic Colorworks and DMC.
There is a small amount of over one stitching in the lower case alphabet and Hannah's sampler signature and completion year.
