Brenda tells us "The finish uses a round 4" paper mache box and a wooden candlestick. The instructed finishing technique gives a perfectly shaped "cake" with no wonky bumps or lumps...super easy, and no sewing machine required! Lady Dot Creates pom trim perfectly represents piped frosting around the top and bottom edges of the little cake....so sweet, and calorie-free!"
The cross stitch design features a young eagle. It takes 4 - 5 years for the eagles head and tail feathers to turn white. With the cake theme, strawberries just seemed fitting. My families' birthdays always consisted of Mom's, made from scratch, angel food cake, and garden strawberries. A waving flag, bunting-draped urn, stars and fireworks rounds out the design.
The pattern will include WTN&T's exclusive "faux sampler" linen....this time, the letters are printed in a wonderful school house red colorway. Your customer may notice the J and U are missing from the fabric; this is intentional. The alphabet is styled to look like a charted alphabet found in early pattern books from centuries ago. The English language of that time had just 24 letters. Letters J and U were missing. Since some letters were similar in appearance, they were used interchangeably, such as the I and J and the U and V."
Design is finished with Vintage hand dyed Pom Pom trim from Lady Dot Creates.
